A Contract Hire Scheme for New Cars

Available on a three-year hire lease, this is the simplest way of having a brand new car. One regular payment each month covers:

The most popular option we provide to our motability customers is to contract hire one of our new cars, which offers you worry free motoring for a 3 year term. Customers choose there vehicle, with some cars starting at a Nil Advance and the insurance, road tax, servicing, tyres and breakdown assistance all covered for the full term.

Payment for the car is paid directly from the Department of Work and Pensions but is only available to those people in receipt of the Higher Rate Mobility allowance. If it is your first vehicle, you will require a CP50, letter of authority form from the Department of Work and Pensions.

Whilst you will not need to pay a higher monthly rate for higher specification vehicles, there may be a higher advanced payment at the beginning. Means tested grants are available to those who, due to the nature of their disability, have no option but to choose a vehicle which attracts an advance payment, or may need special adaptions not already funded by the motability scheme.

The Co-operative Motor Group can arrange to have any adaptions carried out before delivery of the vehicle, by an accredited supplier. Certain adaptions to the vehicles may mean you will have to keep the vehicle for a longer period, typically 5 years.

At the end of the contract, The Co-operative Motor Group will contact you to choose and order another new vehicle. You may also have the option to purchase your vehicle directly from Motability at the end of your contract, The Co-operative Motor Group has a range of products to help you fund this, if required.
