When you lease a car in this way, the risks are someone elses problem. As an operating lease, the vehicle DOES NOT appear on your balance sheet and therefore does not affect your current or future borrowing. Where VAT on rentals are concerned; 50% can be reclaimed where there is private use of the vehicle and 100% where there is no private use. Again, 100% applies to commercial vehicles in spite of its usage.
