Notts County midfielder, Neal Bishop, has been named Notts County’s player of the month for his performances throughout January.
Nominated by the club’s coaches, and voted for by the fans, Neal has made 30 starts this season, and scored the goal that earned County a replay against big-spending Manchester City in the FA Cup.

Neal, 30, picked up his prize, a luxury Co-operative food hamper, from the Club’s preferred car supplier, The Co-operative Motor Group.
He said: “I am delighted to claim the award from The Co-operative Motor Group. It was great to get a draw at home to Manchester City, and although we didn’t win the replay hopefully it will spur us on to climb the table.”
Gary Dighton, Dealer Principal at The Co-operative Motor Group’s Haydn Road site in Sherwood, said: “Neal has put in some great team performances during the season so we’re delighted to present him with the award supplied by our colleagues in the Co-operative Food business on Trowell Road.
“As local Co-operative businesses we feel it is important to support the club and look forward to developing our relationship going forward.”
