The Co-operative Motor Group Shortlisted for Top Awards

The Co-operative Motor Group has been shortlisted for Dealer Group of the Year and Green Dealer of the Year in the 2011 Motor Trader Awards.

Motor Trader is one of the most popular motor industry publications, with a monthly circulation of around 12,000, and the awards are widely considered to be the ‘Oscars’ of the motor industry.  The ceremony takes place on 13 July at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, where it will be hosted by the BBC’s Formula One presenter Jake Humphrey.

Alison Ottaway, Group Brand Development Manager with The Co-operative Motor Group, said: “This is great news for the business and a real reflection of the hard work carried out by staff throughout our network of dealerships.

“The Dealer Group of the Year award is presented to the group that has implemented the most successful strategy for developing sales and profitability during 2010.  Our business has made substantial advances in improving sales performance and profitability, as well as setting the industry benchmark for improvements in customer satisfaction through a number of internal mystery shops and 'putting customers first' initiatives.  We are also hopeful that our commitment to diversity in the workplace, people services, employee engagement and community projects will help us win the award.

“We would also be thrilled to collect the Green Dealer of the Year award, as we have introduced or substantially improved our practices in areas such as workshop waste disposal and recycling, and carbon reduction projects via sales of our emissions control services.”

The award nominations come hot on the heels of The Co-operative Motor Group’s success in the  'Best Marketing Initiative' category at the 2010 Automotive Management Awards.
