The Co-operative Motor Group Mazda anticipates arrival of all-new Mazda6

The The Co-operative Motor Group Mazda team is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the all-new Mazda6 at their Mazda dealerships.

The new version of the fleet and family favourite is more stylish, even more economical, safer and offers an even more rewarding drive than the outgoing Mazda6.  The new car will be priced from £15,100 on-the-road and potential customers can examine the car in detail and take a test-drive from 26 December.

A 10-strong model range of hatchback and saloon petrol models will be available from launch and will be joined by six diesel-engined vehicles in January, followed by nine estate models in early spring 2008.  The highly specified cars will be offered in a choice of five equipment levels from the entry ‘S’ to the top-of-the-range Sport and SL (Sports Luxury) versions.

“This new car represents everything Mazda is renowned for, from style, performance and an entertaining, sporty drive to practicality, refinement and reliability,” the dealer principles observe. “The new Mazda6 has certainly been taken upmarket, but with no loss of agility, thanks to the strict weight-control approach taken by Mazda’s engineers.”

The new Mazda6 builds on the previous models’ economic engines offering official combined fuel consumption figures from 34.4mpg (for the Estate 2.5-litre Sport) to over 50mpg for the 2.0 litre diesel.  Additionally, the new Mazda6 has massively reduced carbon dioxide emissions resulting in a better deal for company car drivers and the environment.

“Along with significant improvements in terms of efficiency, emissions, specification and performance, the new Mazda6 offers customers the peace of mind of enhanced security and safety,” comments Jeremy Thomson, Mazda UK sales director.  “We are so confident in the Mazda6 and in its broad appeal to family and fleet drivers, that in 2008 we anticipate sales in the region of 13,000 to 14,000 cars.”

The new Mazda6 will be in the The Co-operative Motor Group Mazda showrooms before Christmas.
