Farnell Land Rover has announced it is to extend its partnership with Leeds United Football Club with a one year sponsorship deal.

Farnell runs three Land Rover dealerships in central Leeds, Bradford and Guiseley. The company is ponsoring the newly promoted Npower Championship side from the start of the current 2010/11 season which began on August 7.

The partnership between Farnell Land Rover and Leeds United began last year as the football team began its successful battle for promotion from League One. The continued backing of the club will see Farnell enjoy a corporate box at the side’s

Farnell and Land Rover already has strong ties with other sports teams in the region - Leeds Rugby League team. The group is also heavily involved with various community organisations such as Guiseley AFC with a two year sponsorship deal. 

Jatinder Aujla, operations manager at Farnell Land Rover, said: “Farnell has a long tradition of sponsoring sports clubs from grass roots outfits right up to the major professional teams such as Leeds United and we’re delighted to be sponsoring the club once again.

“We have seen first-hand the benefits that sport can bring to youngsters, adults and communities in general, and are very proud to have committed to another partnership that will help bring people together through sport.”
