Farnell Land Rover Guiseley technicians have become part of a groundbreaking nationwide initiative to raise standards of car servicing and repair.
Three employees – who have collectively served more than 30 years with the group – recently achieved the optimum accreditation standard for technical competence – level three in the Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) scheme.
Steve Taylor, Nick Wilson and John Sykes are among an increasing number of technicians within the UK who have recognised the importance of such a scheme.
Steve, who has been with Farnell (part of The Co-operative Motor Group) since the early 1990’s said: “Vehicles are becoming increasingly sophisticated and complex, so to work effectively on new models such as the Freelander, this level of diagnostic training and assessment is essential.
Speaking of the difference the scheme has made to Land Rover Guiseley, dealer principal Jatinder Aujla said: “I am pleased that there is now a recognised benchmark for technical competence, as this not only sends positive messages to people within the industry, but our customers too.”
“I am very proud of the guys’ involvement in what is proving to be a very positive project. It pleases me to know the team have the degree of expertise necessary to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.”
