Dealerships Clean Up for Charity

Staff and volunteers at The Co-operative Motor Group have helped to raise more than £1,500 for charity by washing cars throughout the weekend. All the money raised is going to Mencap, The Co-operative Group’s charity of the year.

Alison Ottaway, Group Brand Development Manager, said: “It was a great weekend, which not only raised a lot of money for Mencap, but also really helped to build team spirit amongst our staff.  We’re now looking forward to planning more charity events for the rest of the year.”

The charity car wash took place at all 23 of The Co-operative Motor Group’s dealerships, and the money raised will allow Mencap and sister charity ENABLE Scotland to launch the ground-breaking programme, Inspire Me.
